Alliance Working Group
  • UHD Transmission Interface
The Ultra-High-Definition Transmission Interface Working Group was established in December 2019 to address key technical challenges in the ultra-high-definition industry. Through technological innovation and breakthroughs in critical technologies, the group aims to develop proprietary ultra-high-definition transmission interface technologies and standards, build intellectual property, and promote the advancement of domestic media infrastructure technologies as well as the development of the domestic 8K industry. The working group has expanded to 26 member organizations, including enterprises and research institutions, and holds regular meetings. It has completed a feasibility report on proprietary ultra-high-definition transmission interfaces and conducted patent research and analysis.
  • Terminals and Chips
The Terminal and Chip Working Group was established in May 2020, focusing on key common technologies such as high-refresh-rate 8K terminal panels, 8K core chips, and the development of key integrated products, with the goal of advancing the display performance of ultra-high-definition video terminal products. As of the end of 2024, the working group has 20 member organizations and has released three industry standards. Among them, the "General Technical Requirements for AM Mini-LED Backlight Source in Ultra High-Definition Display Devices" was recognized as one of the "100 Industry Standards" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
  • Content Production and Supply
The Content Production and Supply Working Group was established in July 2020, focusing on addressing the industrial gaps in ultra-high-definition content production equipment, video monitors, and key components (such as storage chips, GPUs, and audio-video processing IP cores), with the aim of enriching 8K ultra-high-definition video content and programming. As of the end of 2024, the working group has 15 member organizations and is actively organizing key enterprises to carry out 8K content copyright procurement and research on super-resolution 8K content technologies.
  • High Speed Interface Content Protection
The High-Speed Interface Content Protection Standards Working Group was established in September 2020. Building on existing interface content protection standards, the group focuses on researching and innovating technologies such as PKI, interface authentication, key negotiation, content encryption, and integration with DRM systems, with the goal of developing proprietary intellectual property. As of the end of 2024, the working group has 23 member organizations and has released industry standards, including the "Technical Specifications for Advanced Digital Content Protection Systems - Part 1: Unified Multimedia Interconnection Interface Content Protection Technical Specifications."
